May 15 – Greetings from the BC Fire Expo and FCABC Conference! Just a quick update as we are less than 3 weeks away. If you have a hotel room at the Delta and have not been contacted for your credit card info, please call 250-360-5896 or email
The website has just been updated with Annual Reports and Resolutions as well as all the information you should need for a successful conference.
The BC Fire Expo is at Save on Foods Memorial Arena (directions on this website) and the hotel shuttle will be available. Pay parking is also available behind the arena, the main entrance is on Blanshard Street. The link to the 2018 BC Fire Expo app is posted as well.
The Opening Ceremonies is at the Delta Ocean Pointe from 6-7pm Monday and there will be busses to take those with banquet tickets to the Songhees Wellness Center (and return afterwards).
The Education Program is very full this year, so you may want to check it out now.
Wednesday’s Theme night is Casino Royale with a buffet dinner followed by various games of chance (with funny money) Prizes will be won and of course the auction of the ever popular $20 bill!

April 26 – Most of the delegates have now registered for conference and their names are posted at here.

March 20 – The FCABC Conference Committee met this past weekend and among the things discussed was the overwhelming demand for booth space at the 2018 BC Fire Expo in Victoria this year. As a result, we have decided to add extra booths in the concourse area. We have NOT made any changes to the arena floor plan or outside plan. The committee recognizes that the concourse booths are not the most desirable location and may not receive the same traffic as the main arena floor, but we will provide signage to encourage the chiefs to visit all exhibit areas, including the concourse. An updated floor plan is posted at and the Floorplangenie site has also been updated. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me. Booth assignments are ongoing, so if you have not been assigned, your time is approaching (Don’t forget your insurance COI if you haven’t sent it in yet).
